Something I’ve always struggled with at Ergeon is the reality that we’re a startup and we operate very lean. Joining the company as a teenager and spending all of my twenties here has meant making real sacrifices—especially around finances. There were a lot of things my friends were able to do, like travel or enjoy certain experiences, that I simply couldn’t afford at the time. I know it’s different for people working in other countries or in different circumstances, but for someone living in the U.S., it hasn’t always been easy.
