Pros

- 50% off food and 20% store products. - You don'y have to be good at your job. - You do find genuine coworkers. - Pay is hire than most places.

Cons

- The structure of the store is highly lacking professionalism. - The company is definitely driven by money and only money. - Turnover is HIGH and the company has no problem letting go of good employees. - In order for you to grow within the company you MUST get along with upper management no matter if you do your job well or not. - Erewhon says they are environmental friendly but ALL of their packaging is to go. - The amount of food thrown out on a daily basis is crazy. - Store Director is highly racist and is not afraid to express it in front of others. - Cheap cleaning products and office supplies are used within the company to save money. - Division between AM & PM shifts. - Toxic work environment. - You are tasked with the impossible especially during closing shifts with very little to no support and you are expected to do it without any overtime. - No structure to departments. - Promotes the wrong employees and those who don't deserve it. - If you have any feedback, its best to keep it to yourself, they don't care and on the contrary you become the problematic employee.

Pros

The team itself was solid, and the store's a genuinely nice place to work day-to-day.

Cons

The compensation is just not aligned with what you're actually doing. You're running a shift, working register, dealing with customers, training people, managing closings - and all of it's on a cashier's wage. I actually did the math once and it came out to about $17/hour when you factor in everything. The store charges premium prices and does well financially, but shift leads don't see any of that reflected in their pay. That gap is unsustainable, and it's exactly why I left.
