Pros

Free lunch on Fridays was nice.

Cons

The owner of EquipmentLocator (Tom) is the worst human being on the planet. An extremely isolated environment where collaboration is frowned upon. Not uncommon to start the day in PHP, shift to classic ASP at 10 am, working in C# at 12, and then on to Javascript in the afternoon. The technical environment is a disaster with no standards. This is a do it as quickly as possible type of environment and move on. Stay away!

Pros

Good company and people to work for/with. The owner genuinely cares about his employees. They have a good work environment and a nice building.

Cons

As an employee the only downside to working at Tom Rowe and Associates was not having health insurance and retirement benefits.

Pros

The company pays for lunch on Fridays and believe me this is the only pro.

Cons

Equipment Locator is a sinking ship put in such a position by it's two owners. The owners of this company refuse to move on from dated web practices and go on to blame their employees and even their clients for lack of growth and success. The owner seems more interested in disrupting your work day rather then helping you succeed. Equipment Locator does not offer health benefits or sick days, if you are sick get ready to dip into your vacation time. Holiday time off is a mystery till the day before so making plans is close to impossible. What really makes Equipment Locator the worst company I've worked for is the owners bring religion and prayer into the work place; from bringing up your religion at the interview to having designated days where the office is asked to meet for religious discussion and prayer. Although technically voluntary if you do not attend these "meetings" get ready to discuss your religious position with the owner.
