Business outlook
Pros
Immaculate fitness environment, between the gym, spa, and EarthBar. Focus on education *can* build intelligent, well-rounded trainers. Clientele are fitness-minded.
Cons
It's easy to get burnt out in the first few months because you're expected to put in incredibly long days (nothing less than double digits, and 12-14 isn't uncommon) while ramping up. High turnover rate leads to low morale (veteran trainers are dismissive of new hires until they've lasted 6 months and ramping trainers feel constantly on the verge of termination if ambitious quotas aren't met.) Pay isn't great, especially given what the company charges for PT. Must be extraordinarily sales-oriented; Yelp reviews liken the floor trainers to sharks on the hunt.
