Pros

I worked at Equilibrium for just over 7 years and I can honestly say it is the best place I have worked. There are so many pros that the company have but I think the team and the culture are the stand out. I have met some brilliant people there and made some friends for life. It is very much a collaborative environment where people are happy to support each other regardless of your role or department. The culture is incredible with a fun, modern and clean working environment. There is a pool table, dart board, arcade machine, free breakfast and healthy snacks and a great flexible working framework allowing colleagues to work from home or at the office. There are are staff events and social drinks throughout the year. Culture and social aspects aside Equilibrium also provided me with training and development since the day I arrived helping me to achieve my chartered status while developing my skills and responsibilities in my work. I feel I have developed so much in my time there and that is down to the incredible dedicated support provided to me by the company. If you are looking for a fun, collaborative and supportive working environment this is the place for you. You will receive a friendly welcome and work alongside an incredible group of talented, fun and friendly people.

Cons

I can't think of any. Equilibrium are always open to hearing feedback from staff and make every effort to improve the work environment as and when they can.

Pros

-They care about you as a person as well as your career/what you bring to the company. - Generous annual leave and flexible working pattern week to week. - You have the freedom to build your career the way you want, rather than having restrictive hoops to jump through.

Cons

There is no formal support or training, for sitting and passing exams, other than relying on the experience/goodwill of colleagues that have recently sat them. There is a wealth of experience to call upon though, so it never takes long to find someone.

Pros

I work in the client management team. The role is great, you have your own set of clients, meaning there is a high degree of independence, though at the same time wider support is available if work load gets a bit out of hand. You can work at your own pace and priority for this reason (within reasonable limits) and you are encouraged to leave home on time. The paraplanning role is much more hands on than usual in that you attend client meetings and are in regular contact with clients, and you also see financial planning actions all the way to the end particularly if you are assigned a client to manage from when they join. There is also a big emphasise on use of several IT packages which makes the work much more efficient. Exam support is ample, senior management are genuine and want to see you achieve and grow. Senior management make it clear what the company aims are for the future and do well to communicate this out to the staff. Company culture is great, nice little extras such as fun events, socials and breakfast is also provided. Generous holiday package, and time off given for exams and charity days. Overall, a fantastic small and fast-growing company to work for.

Cons

Not many. Change is very frequent, certainly not a bad thing businesswise but can be difficult for some to keep up with. Though the change is well communicated both to staff and clients and process changes are usually made clear.
