Pros

~ 3 weeks vacation ~ 100% employer paid health insurance

Cons

Even though their mission statement is admirable, they should also learn to apply it internally as well. This is one of the most repressive, dishonest, and severely micromanaged environments I have ever experienced. There are endless examples I could detail, but I'll summarize with the following bullet points below: ~ Deceptive recruiting practices: misrepresentations made regarding work environment during the interview process including a bait and switch that advertised the position as non-exempt then classifying the position as exempt when hired ~ Highly micromanaged work environment even on insignificant details from the moment you step in the door ~ Certain members of management give consistently vague directives then will react as if you're an imbecile when you ask for clarification ~ Outwardly disrespectful treatment and often in front of others: tone usually communicated contempt - Incompetence with leadership in financial operations created an extremely inefficient environment: executive leadership expected support staff to correct mistakes instead of taking responsibility by cleaning up their own messes, such as having to chase after vendors after an executive team member made 11 duplicate payments. Also if you decide to work here be warned - it's not uncommon to find a day or two missing from your salary payment ~ No database to manage and pull financial information: finances are managed through a system of folders instead of a database!?!? There are also unreasonable expectations to pull information as quickly as if you had a database ~ Executive Director in complete denial of the horrific workplace environment after issues had been brought to her attention repeatedly I could go on, but these examples illustrate the absolute hypocrisy of the executive leadership team at ERA. Support staff is treated as if we were nothing more than dogs to be kicked around.
