Pros

Enjoyed my initial manager while an Account Manager Specialist

Cons

My experience is a perfect example of how a bad manager can ruin an employee’s experience with a company after working there for years. This individual is still actively working for the company and had been promoted to an even higher position within the AM department. Just a few examples of things I personally had to deal with while working at Conversant/Epsilon for 6 years: - I was told by my manager during COVID when I was working full time, trying to balance kids at home & a husband who was an essential worker so unable to help during the day, that if I didn’t send my kids back to daycare early that I would be reported to HR - Was told I needed to QA a campaign that was going live while I was in ACTIVE LABOR before I signed off to go to the hospital - after coming back from leave I was granted special permission by my director so I could work from home 1 day & had we had mutually agreed Fridays would be best. My manager then decided she didn’t agree with it so stated to leadership that Friday’s didn’t work and I had to do Wednesdays instead. Ok, not ideal, but I was fine with it until I found out that about a month later that she now also had permission to wfh one day and was going to always do Fridays. - Found out from a friend who left the company & I assigned all of his work while maintaining my own book of business that I was making $15,000 less than him. They eventually brought my salary up (close but still not equal stating the company had a tough year) but leadership was upset that I was told this by him. - The relationship with our CD team was so toxic that we had to have multiple HR-facilitated meetings so we could simply tolerate working on our client together 5) The only way to get promoted is to leave the company & then get rehired. If you are internal you will get picked over for those individuals continuously 6) My manager went out on maternity leaver after submitting my EOY in the system only to review it with our director to find out she falsified multiple negative complaints about me within the review. Had zero proof or previous conversations with me about any of her complaints. Luckily the director was reasonable, knew I only had ever had strong reviews previously so didn’t give me the low review my manager was trying to do. - As someone who was on some of our largest accounts and then shifted to our smallest account after going on maternity leave - You cannot move up on their small accounts. These clients have finite budgets and are only clients bc they are grandfathered in & didn’t meet our minimums. You cannot grow without a substantial budget under your belt & leadership decides who gets what, effectively preemptively deciding who is going to be “successful”

Pros

There are no "Pros". Company is getting driven into the ground, quickly. Unlimited FTO - sure nice if you EVER get to take time off

Cons

Employees have been strung along last year (2025), told there would be Merit Increases -- should have been in March 2025 (didn't happen); then we're told it would be in July 2025 (didn't happen); then we're told would have a meeting in Sept 2025; there was a All Hands call and we we're told ONLY Top Performers would get a BONUS, and no one else. Then, in Jan 2026, there was money Allocated for FULL Merit Increases for April 2026. NO Senior Mgnt Communication. It's the end of March 2026 and we are told from our Managers (NOT Senior Mgnt) that there would NOT be any Merit Increases, supposedly "tabled" until July 2026. Time will tell.
