Pros

*Work is interesting, creative, challenging, even fun at times *Customers are generally nice people who I enjoyed helping *Excellent opportunity to get into healthcare IT, a field with a lot of job security - if you want to be in the field *Excellent environment to develop communication, technical, and time-management skills *Food is AWESOME

Cons

* Management is not great. Judy built a very successful company, but the blind spots have never changed and they've not adjusted well to growth. Management still believes that Epic is a lifestyle, which means personal needs come second. They also believe in running lean no matter how many QANs pile up. There is a massive fear that if people don't have way too much to do, they won't work hard or prioritize well. * You Will NOT Feel Valued by the Company. I worked there for 10 years. I have friends that work there still, for 10-20 years. I have multiple friends who left in less than 5 years. Every single person feels the company has never valued them, despite working hard to make the company better. * You will NOT be in an environment conducive to creating personal connections. Epic frowns on the "relaxed environment" atmosphere, so sitting in the break area making idle chit chat is something you won't see often, and a lot of people feel pressure to work all the time and act like being a Epic team player is the most important thing. The culture is a bit stifling.
