Enjoy the work I did day to day, but clear that Epic does not care about their employees. - Team Lead Epic Employee Review

Pros

Good mission - impacts patient care across the world Ability to do a variety of things in the job, encourages growth of individuals. Cool campus Great benefits

Cons

Burn out - 50+ hour weeks aren’t out of the ordinary. Lack of transparency - will not publish or share data proving that there isn’t a wage gap based on gender or race. Poor work life balance - which is encouraged by leadership, who sends important all company emails after 10 pm, making employees always feel anxious about what’s coming next. (Last late night email was about 4 very different roles merging, with no explanation of what this means or if jobs are secure) Unclear job security - managers were demoted when they pushed back on the inappropriate response to the pandemic. Upper management makes decisions without thinking of how it affects employees - Almost forced employees to come back to campus during a pandemic, only stopped and changed course when dane county public health forced them to. No channels for staff to openly share feedback - company deletes posts in our public forum if they suggest any disagreement with upper management’s decisions.
