Pros

I've been in healthcare IT for over 10 years now and have worked with multiple healthcare organizations and multiple different companies. I still have yet to meet an organization that has had as much corporate conscience and social responsibility as Epic. It's not marketing collateral, they live and breathe an earnest desire to positively influence healthcare through their development. You're not going to make consulting money, but you're going to do great for Madison standards.

Cons

BURN OUT IS HIGH! I don't know if that is still the case now but it certainly was when I was employed at Epic. The expectations for staff are very high and that stresses people out to try and perform beyond what is healthy. The results usually turn out exceptional but at a steep cost.
