Very good opportunity in terms of salary, stability and benefits. If you like regulatory work, this may be a good fit for you.
Cons
The recent strife in US politics created more stress because of administrations hostile to the environmental work of EPA. There were budget cuts, furloughs, threats of RIFs and early retirements. A fairly racist environment, many talented people of color as well as immigrants were denied promotion opportunities. Lots of favoritism.
