Cons
Bureaucracy and hurdles! The harder you work, the more obstacles you need to overcome. Excessive mandatory training and oversight. Most managers are scientists that could not do science - the only way to get promoted was through management. Tight budgets requiring scientists to butter up the money decision maker to secure funds.
