Pros

Team lunches on friday, usually Nandos, tea and coffee available, close to parsons green and Fulham High street

Cons

Disorganised chaos, expected to do lots of additional work not within your role, Director can be like a bull in a China shop at times, very quick to change his mind on a decision, which then causes more chaos, a lot of employees are friends of his, which makes the work environment difficult, also lack of adequate training when starting, especially after your manager leaves and you are expected to cover his duties. A lot of office staff are remotely based in South Africa, so communication can be troublesome

Pros

Some of the best elements about working at Environ was I always felt part of the team. I have to say as a women working in a predominantly male industry you can perhaps expect to be treated different however this was not the case at Environ at all. I always felt I was treated with respect and inclusivity. My ideas were not only valued but also supported by management and I received comprehensive training in the intricacies of construction, damp and property management. The company fostered an environment where I felt comfortable being open, and they supported me throughout my studies outside of regular working hours. I dedicated over two years to my full-time role there, and the only reason I decided to leave was to pursue a career in mental health—a decision that the company always encouraged. Company outings were a regular occurrence or lunches together, contributing to a genuine sense of community. In my view the hard work put in by employee's was not only acknowledged but also rewarded. A lot of the tradesmen & women I worked with started as a labourers and quickly moved up the ranks, being trained to be drainage engineers, surveyors or damp engineers to name a few. So I actually saw investment in the staff progression. I have a very fond view of my time there and the people I worked with.

Cons

I believe there's always room for improvement in any company, and if I were to suggest one change, it would be to possibly allow flexibility in remote working for office staff. But my understanding is that has already taken place as a change.
