Pros
Personable Owner and Management. Solid salary and company vehicle. Everyone is friendly and I enjoy working with everyone. The first 6 months were great as I actually got to do what I was hired for doing Design and writing programs. This would be a great job for a young kid that likes to get their hands dirty and loves working in the field.
Cons
The position can be misleading as I was heavily recruited to leave a decent job to come here. Being brought in to work on Engineering design and programming as an experienced Engineer, I was told that I would never do physical installation and that they had Field Technicians to do the tech work. I didn't know that they had issues keeping or hiring Field Technicians, especially after the only one they had quit after being there a few months and was told to go into the field to help out. I was told that this was until they hired Field Techs. Then, after six months of field work without seeing the office, they announced they are outsourcing Engineering. After 8 months, I approached management being even my job description as a Controls Engineer Level III didn't mention being a Field Technician and never heard a word back. I have spent 90-95% of the last 10 months in the Field sometimes doing physically intensive work. This would be a great company to work for if they would have at least talked to me about it, but instead just sent me to the field. Lastly, I didn't get an annual review. Didn't even get an email congratulating me on a one year anniversary.
