Where to start. Unrealistic and ridiculous expectations, LITERALLY zero time off. No human empathy for things that happen that are out of your control. Extremely strict attendance policy (policy is more rigid than any job I’ve ever had- it’s embarrassing to even tell people about the policy- I think inmates in the county jail have more freedom than we do) Manipulative and toxic environment. Being gaslit daily. If you have children, YOUNG children, be prepared to miss milestones, school plays, back to school night, teacher conferences and ALL of their sports/games. And don’t dare expect to have time off if they are sick. Even an hour taken unplanned (unplanned= not approved for PTO- Which never gets approved anyway but obviously, you can’t plan for your kid to be sick and take off in advance ANYWAY) They have this ridiculous attendance point/system. This company offers ZERO work and home balance. And there is no possible way that leadership abides by the same set of attendance point policies/rules. They would all have 727627171 points by now.
If your computer messes up, regardless of whether you are directly responsible for the issue, you are forced to use your PTO while the IT team remotely handles the issue. Yeah, that’s right. You have to use your PTO to make up for the hour or so, that it takes IT to sort out the programming issue. And truth be told, that is the only time you will get to use your PTO. Because time off is very hard to come by here. You also will be forced to use your PTO for holiday “parties” and when we were in office for “luncheons” and things like that. I had more freedom when I was a little tyke on the playground in elementary school. Flex schedule was promised to ALL departments but for some reason, my department seems to be the only one that “is not eligible” for flex schedules. How convenient. Three years now, we have been told no flex schedule for us! I could literally go on and on. I think anyone reading gets the point…
