Pros

You get vacation after 90 days

Cons

Like a lot of places there is a wall between management and work floor employees. Extremely strict, but favoritism allows some to do what they want. Laid off even after deemed essential and made a company wide statement saying they wouldnt. Pay is horrid. Flawed time system. You may be given 2 hours in the system to complete a part on a CNC, but its a 5 hour program. The people who write the programs also determine the job times and cant even admit to their fault. You will be wrote up and eventually suspended for jobs being late, even after you write a process improvment form and show management that the job runs for 5 hours but your only given 2. They will tell you not to worry about it be never relay that to higher ups out of fear of losing their job which will cost you yours. Bench machines are filled with black mold and sludge that blow that air into your face and the shop with a smell so foul you may vomit. They wont get them cleaned though because of loss of production. So they throw bleach cubes in them. The rest of the shop is filthy also. The company was once amazing but after being repeatedly sold its so bad. They make "exceptions" on flight critical parts also that compromise saftey for aircraft and other parts. Which ultimately can be your problem that ends in a lawsuit. If you need a paycheck its worth it. Wear a mask for your health from the mold and dont bypass saftey standards if management tells you its fine, but wont sign their name on it, just quit because they will fire you. I also once got a piece of metal in my eye even though I was wearing my safety glasses, The 3rd shift manager basically told me if I write an official report with workers comp I would be fired and he would get in trouble or look bad. So I had to leave work and go to the emergency room on my own, pay for it, and come back to work right after and still be pointed for a partial absence. Which is funny because even with the ER trip in the middle of my shift I still worked 10 hours and was pointed. That trip cost me over $1000. So thanks management! I still have the proof of that also.

Pros

Pratt Whitney GOLD quality system. Modern equipment and processes. Great group of people.

Cons

Enginetics was always good to me. I have no complaints. Only down side was the commute. If is was closer to my house and if grass was greener and that next place I would have never left.

Pros

Used to be the pay, benifits, and the other workers.

Cons

They got rid of 3rd and 2nd shift, and about 1/2 of 1st. The people left on the floor is the ones that will tattle on every little thing, or has proven themselves useful in other ways. There was no order to the layoffs. People not even in the department now works in what they were never trained for. When you are layed off from Enginetics, you are really fired. You are told that you will need to reapply for a job. If you decide to work there keep your head down, look busy, keep your mouth shut.
