Not too Shabby - Operational Support Energy Transfer Employee Review

Pros

Worked in Houston Corporate Office. Pretty much a friendly environment. There was not Big I's and Little U's. For the most part, Leadership has an open door policy.

Cons

I will never understand how people get promoted to People Management roles without any skills people skills and/or technical skills needed to do the job. It's as though the decision makers do not understand, while this may help the person being promoted, it impedes the productivity and development of the team being managed. Decisions made from the "incompetent" manager are based on "feelings" and not facts...and leaves the team not only managing their work but also having to manage up!

Pros

Good benefits. The CEO appears well-intentioned and invested in the company's success, but there is limited visibility into the challenges faced by employees at lower levels of the organization.

Cons

The culture can feel like a good-old-boys network, with inconsistent treatment of employees across teams. Management practices are not always perceived as fair or transparent, and HR leadership does not appear to effectively address employee concerns. Greater accountability, consistency, and employee-focused leadership would help improve the work environment."
