Pros

The best PE investment team(s) in Blackstone and Vista supporting the business.

Cons

Legacy founder led leaders still in charge running it as a founder led company, as opposed to an Enterprise software business. The Chief People officer based in AU calls all the shots, and the CEO, who has very poor employee respect falls in line. The morale is toxic, as a result of these two legacy leaders that remain. Once Blackstone/Vista make the leadership change the business has a chance to recover, until then, it’s a sinking ship.

As the "Australia based CPO" in question, I really appreciate the time you have taken to share your feedback and to detail your perspective. One of our greatest cultural assets is the diversity of thought and perspective we encourage in EE. We value that diversity as it is the thread which makes us a very special place to work - according to many of our people (past and present). I review the feedback provided on this platform on a regular basis and I look for areas that both reinforce my perception of our culture but equally challenge that perception - so, thank you. I'm sorry you are not enjoying your experience in EE - especially when you work in the office with the CEO and have ample access to him due to that physical proximity - a benefit that many of our Global team would truly value. I know that he is also very keen to hear people's perspectives and to be challenged around these areas so perhaps take the time to share that feedback directly with him, or with me when I am next in SLC. Until then, I hope your experience improves in EE. Helen.

Pros

I’ve had a great experience working at Energy Exemplar. The company is filled with talented, passionate people who genuinely care about the work they do and the impact they make on the energy industry. The mission is meaningful, and it’s rewarding to be part of an organization that helps customers make critical decisions related to the future of energy. From a Talent Acquisition perspective, I’ve appreciated the opportunity to partner with leaders across the globe, influence hiring strategies, and contribute to the company’s growth. The culture promotes collaboration, trust, and flexibility, with employees empowered to take ownership of their work. Remote work flexibility and work-life balance have also been strong positives. Leadership is approachable, and there is a consistent focus on innovation, customer success, and continuous improvement.

Cons

As with many high-growth organizations, priorities can shift quickly, which requires adaptability and strong communication. However, this also creates opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact.

Pros

1. Remote working and flexibility.

Cons

1. The organization lacks a clear strategic framework and execution plan. Sales targets are often established well into the fiscal year without a defined roadmap, sufficient resources, or measurable initiatives to support successful attainment. 2. Workforce management appears inconsistent and unstable. Numerous experienced, high-performing employees have been terminated or laid off, often with limited severance and little advance notice, creating uncertainty across the organization. 3. The company's product offering lags behind competitors in several key areas. Certain capabilities that have been standard within the industry for years remain unavailable, underdeveloped, or difficult to use, impacting both customer experience and sales effectiveness. 4. Leadership turnover within the sales organization is exceptionally high. Frequent changes at the SVP and VP levels have resulted in a lack of continuity, shifting priorities, and ongoing organizational disruption. 5. The company would benefit from greater diversity and inclusion at all levels. Several highly successful and knowledgeable female professionals were impacted by workforce reductions despite strong performance, deep market expertise, and valuable client relationships. 6. Certain provisions within the employment agreement may be viewed as restrictive by employees. In particular, clauses related to post-employment dispute resolution and litigation rights may warrant careful review before signing. 7. Review the average tenure of employee: 1.8 years. That number says a profound story.
