Pros

The company is owned by Seventh Day Adventists therefore, you will not be working Saturday. They won't force you to work on Sunday because it may be your Sabbath.

Cons

I am forced to wear a badge that says I work at a Christian based organization that believes in making itself a better place and building our house. It also says that humility and doing the right thing are the way in which we make our decisions and part of who we are as a culture. That is surely a lie. When I was hired I was actually given a book that said we were part of a bonus program and that profits were shared with employees. It talks of a company match 401K which also does not exist. Since we are not profitable, we do not receive raises, bonuses or 401K donations. The engineer selling our product over promises to the customer and we fall short on delivering products. We lose contracts time and time again due to this same type of dropping the ball. There is no accountability for non production staff. They are paid well and receive benefits that regular production people wish for. Last year they gave twenty minutes notice that most of our people were being laid off " for a few days to a couple of weeks". Only an handful have returned. They hire ten temporary people to get one or two that even show up for the second week. The work is dirty, itchy, and hot. So much for the "climate controlled environment" they talked about in the brochure.

Thank you for your feedback. It is important to us to hear the thoughts of employees from all levels of the organization. I understand your concern with the 401k and bonus program. Energetx Composites is certainly eager to start contributing to the 401k program. We have plans to enhance this benefit by contributing to active participants as soon as possible. The company has taken a strong stance on minimizing and mitigating the cost increases on our major medical benefits which has prevented a focus on the 401k program. The forecast for the company has significant growth over the next couple months. We are regularly bringing new business in and expect to continue to do so allowing us to focus on programs such as 401k and bonuses. Last year we did experience a slight hiccup in production when one of our customers decreased their demand of product due to a slight decrease in their sales. Fortunately we were able to move several of our employees over to our sister company allowing us to ensure continued employment for these individuals while we worked through the new demand requirements. Since then we were able to bring all of our staff back, with the exception of those who elected to work elsewhere. We are grateful for the contributions of all staff members. The care and dedication to the organization by all members of the Energetx team are much appreciated. This is why we continue to pay above and beyond many manufacturers in the area and well above the local average for our production staff. Thank you for your feedback. Pros

This company is great to its employees. There is strong leadership on the production floor and great technical knowledge in the Quality and Engineering departments. Initially as a new employee I spent time with a trainer getting to know the organization and the work that I would be doing. The company mentioned that they would hire me in direct after 30 days with a contract agency. They kept their word and I am now a full time member of the organization.

Cons

The company is still in start up mode, at times you experience the growing pains with starting new projects.

It gives a great opportunity for new members of the team to work with us before making a more permanent decision. You are correct we are still working through the startup phases of a new company. Pros

They boast of having a Christian culture. As Seventh Day Adventist, they would shut down operations each Friday just prior to sundown to observe the Sabbath.

Cons

Although they boast of having a Christian Culture, they are disconnected with the employees that make the products. Their financial model will drive them into bankruptcy. We couldn't continue production due to unpaid debts to suppliers. Their Engineering Team didn't understand their role in assisting production.

It is your feedback that helps us address issues and ensure we are providing the best work experience to all employees possible. Being a start-up company we certainly have experienced a few unexpected surprises along the way. We are appreciative of the staff that we have and recognize the efforts of everyone in the organization on helping achieve the success we have experienced so far. You mentioned your concern related to the financial model of the organization. The company itself has solid financial support from internal and external investors. Unfortunately we did experience a slowdown with some of our product due to decreased demand by one of our customers. We were able to focus the sales efforts on bringing new business in to support the decrease in demand. It is great to have employees concerned in this aspect of the organization. Too many times this is not the case. Thank you. The organization itself recognizes the importance of the role the production staff plays in the success of the company. After all, without these individuals the company would not be a competitor in the industry. This is why we compensate our staff well above the local average for production positions. Again, thank you for the feedback. Your thoughts and comments are very important to the organization as a whole.
