Pros

- Full time remote role & met some cool people - Salary was paid on time (Not always the case with start ups!)

Cons

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I wanted to give people a heads-up so they can form their own opinions. There are some good people and teams here, but unfortunately, this isn’t consistent across the board. The talented individuals often burn out or leave quickly. Unfortunately, my manager lacked the necessary soft skills for their position. There was no clear onboarding process or set goals when I joined, and, like other reviews have mentioned, it felt as though I was being set up to fail. There is a noticeable level of petulance and immaturity at the managerial level. The main advice given was to publicly call people out in workplace groups or channels if issues arose, rather than addressing conflicts directly. Additionally, there is no centralized invoicing system, like Deel, making things feel disorganized. I was initially excited to join this company, but poor management left me feeling disillusioned and questioning my own abilities during my time here

We’re continuously working on our onboarding process, communication culture, and management training to ensure that every team member feels set up for success from day one. Pros

Most people at S3 are very collaborative and willing to help as soon as you join, and even after the training period.

Cons

However, they do not mention in their job posting that the position is offered on a self-employed/contractor basis. You are only informed either shortly before signing the contract or once training has already started. There is also a lack of support and collaboration from HR and Payroll. Payments are often made very late; some people have received their salary as late as the 9th of the month without any explanation, despite SEPA transfers generally being processed almost instantly across the SEPA area. There is also a lack of transparency regarding procedures and the overall situation surrounding the dismissal of the entire QA team, which was replaced by an AI system that evaluates staff inaccurately, even when employees follow the company's own procedures. I do not believe the company owners are fully aware of the situation within the support department. Not to mention the scheduling. They classify you as an independent contractor, but the contract requires exclusivity. You cannot set your own working hours, and due to poor planning and organization, they can schedule you to work more than six consecutive days if they choose to.
