Pros
You can learn on the job - if you don't know basic AV you'll learn it very fast. The job will also feel like the gym sometimes. Lots of walking between rooms in the hotel, and lifting/carrying heavier objects. Plus, hotels will often provide a free meal during your shift. And you will have opportunities to meet people of all different work industries checking in on groups to make sure everything with the AV equipment is good and addressing any issues during their meetings or conferences.
Cons
Hours are inconsistent and schedules change every week. You can look in the scheduling system to see the events coming up so you can guess when you'll be scheduled and plan around it, but a shift isn't always guaranteed.
