Pros
The nursing staff is incredible. They work tirelessly and focus on quality patient care. Not only do they care for their patients and the patients' families, they are very considerate toward each other. As a tech I had more patients than the nurses, and yet they would take the time to help me out with the morning care. I have seen a diverse range of clinical settings and I must say the staff at Healthsouth are the ones you'd want to work with.
Cons
They recently switched to having four staff nurses in the morning shift and two techs, which means as a tech you might have up to ten patients, and you have to get them all up by 8-9ish for breakfast. A great feat when a lot of them are stroke, spinal cord injury patients. However, like I said, the staff work together and we tend to get things done despite how hectic mornings usually are.
