Enable is struggling to stop behaving like a startup - Marketing Enable International Employee Review

Pros

Fair compensation, bonus structure, good health insurance.

Cons

Unfortunately Enable has grown well beyond the startup phase but the leadership and management are still displaying many of the negative behaviors often associated with startup culture, specifically around a lack of work-life balance, unclear communication, and not having a marketing strategy. Employees are often given vague or counter intuitive direction that may change from week to week or from leader to leader, and waste a significant amount of time on projects before they are provided clarification. At that point, the pendulum tends to swing to micromanagement, leading staff to feel uneasy and lacking confidence in their work, when if provided clear instruction or consistent strategy they would likely be significantly more confident and productive. Like many companies, they tout a benefit of "unlimited" PTO, however in practice the expectation is often that any work that would be done during PTO will need to be completed before or after, leading to a significant amount of stress around vacations, which for me ended up being minimal due to the workload. You'll note that there are many, many negative reviews here and their response is essentially, "sorry you feel that way." That's pretty standard - there's a lack of accountability for their culture across the board and since they don't recognize it as an issue, there's zero functional effort to address it. In the end, the pay was fine, but I don't think they are worth the headache.

Pros

Pay is decent when you start, but don’t expect it to go up because they’re very straightforward about the fact that they’re struggling financially so there won’t be any merit increases and virtually no promotions. Work from home and equipment stipend is nice

Cons

Revolving door of sales people. There’s a reason most people last less than a year. They either notice the red flags immediately and leave or inevitably get fired. No demand for the product. Poor leadership. All around a recipe for disaster. I genuinely believe it’s too late to fix and the company is on a fast trajectory towards crashing. Truly a company build on hopes, dreams, and AI slop.
