Pros

• Mission driven work tied to real workplace outcomes • Real work-life balance and flexible PTO • Leadership access and a healthy feedback culture • High autonomy with room to make an impact early • Useful customer health and reporting dashboards

Cons

• Some workflows are still being formalized. A simple shared RACI and response time guide would make timelines feel clearer for everyone. • Threads can get scattered across tools. A quarterly planning sync and shared OKRs could keep teams rowing the same direction. • UI and platform refresh is in motion. A quarterly roadmap peek with milestones would build confidence. • Benefits are catching up. There’s no 401(k) match or equity yet, and cash comp feels low to mid-market. Even a modest match or ESPP would go a long way for hiring and retention. • Enablement is helpful. A predictable monthly cadence with recordings and quick-reference guides would make it even more useful. • The CEO is a strong external advocate. A bit more operational support would keep the team nimble while leadership scales.

Pros

I’ve been with Emtrain for almost five years as a Strategic Account Executive, and it’s been rewarding to grow with a company that truly stands behind its mission. The heart of Emtrain starts with our founder and CEO—one of the hardest-working, most resilient leaders I’ve worked with. Her vision and commitment to ethical, human-centered workplace training genuinely shape the culture. Emtrain has been around for 20 years, which says a lot in this market. The company continues to adapt and evolve while staying true to its purpose. I truly believe in the product—our training is modern, relatable, compliant, and easy to stand behind when working with clients. The team is supportive, responsive, and genuinely caring. Even as a fully remote company, there’s real connection, collaboration, and leadership that consistently prioritizes doing right by our clients.

Cons

Because we’re a small but mighty organization, not every process is fully built out. This requires flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to help shape how things are done. For the right person, it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Pros

I have been working at Emtrain for years. We have been through cultural shifts like #metoo, BLM, and changing regulations like the recent presidential executive orders. Lucky for us, the founder and CEO is a visionary, predicting what is coming next and guiding the company and our clients during these challenging and pivotal times. Other compliance companies are not so lucky to have an employment attorney at the helm. In the seven years that I have remote worked for Emtrain, I have held 4 roles in 4 different departments, and each of those role changes were met with flexibility and autonomy. If you are looking for a role where you are treated like an adult, and are looking to contribute to the greater good, I recommend talking to someone at Emtrain.

Cons

The cons are the usual cons at every company. At the end of the day, the "company" is about individual people and communication. If you have issues with co-workers, it is about your mindset and ability to communicate with others. Emtrain creates content around these very topics. Any employee issues I have had at Emtrain, I have worked out with the team. When I have a complaint about something, I am heard. I have been here for a long time and have no plans of going anywhere anytime soon!
