Pros

People attending and some staff.

Cons

Responsibility of role, lack of support to address building and program concerns, inexperienced staff that receives little training, HR that doesn’t know how to find or screen candidates. Dishonest upper level esp CEO only concerned with looking good to owners so he can open more and more buildings.

Pros

Great Team to manage Great Day Services for people with Disabilities Individuals that attend are amazing PTO for Upper Management is 2 weeks 6,000.00 extra in pay each year to purchase private insurance Company gas card to use on your personal vehicle.

Cons

No insurance of any kind Growing way to fast. Expect the centers that are receiving revenue to be bringing in way more than we can since we have no staff to add more people. THe company keeps wanting us to add add add and that has the directors working the jobs of 15 people plus tying to complete our own job. It's too much they except us to work non stop all hours and not have a life outside of Empowered. The Admin team will schedule out of hour meetings, open house and other things without discussing if it works for the directors. They will schedule these things only a week in advance expecting everyone to be free after working hours. The company has just changed since i've started. They went from small ratios and really caring for the individuals to only careing about money because they are bulding and growing too fast.

Pros

The attendees and some staff.

Cons

* least valued role with the greatest responsibility in the agency. * zero work/life balance, 12 hr work days, and weekends *Ineffective HR: to advertise/obtain qualified direct care staff, provide relavent training, and to track certifications *you will chronically be understaffed so you will drive routes (taking up to 4 hrs of the day), serve as direct care staff *upper mgmt disregards current attendee issues due to health, psy, work or travel issues regardless of documentation and communication to ensure they are aware*upper mgmt will say they support you to address (incorrect acutiy, health, communication & behavioral issues causing staff burnout and countless UI reports) but refuse to provide relavent training * you will be required to administer annual state and agency training after hours or weekends (because no one makes money when attendees aren't there)which offers no additional training to actually decrese burnout and improve services *company values are tag lines the CEO & QI like on the wall but not in practice preferring a show place rather than a functional, person centered facility *some counties don't like ECS therefore will not refer/suggest you citing safety and lack of trained staff concerns, you will have to find ways around non published casemanagers to get to families to enroll them and get the census to the ideal they have in mind, they won't pay to advertise, or use social media in a functional marketing way *there is a very high turn over of staff. lots of bare min staff who call off frequently, good staff burn out and have no tools to become great *Most important aspect of this role is SALES=billable bodies don't send people home and don't suspend them due to outbursts that impacts your attendance and drives a nail in your coffin *You are responsible for facility and vehicle maint. Overflowing toilets, ceiling leaking on a weekend, need to take a van in for brakes, this is all branch manager responsibilities despite what they tell you *Upper mgmt prefers A acuity or wheelchair using hygiene support C acuity: no elopment, aggression, fall risk, psy issues, or medically fragile. They will create incidents or be off more often bringing census # down *The biggest con is the lack of respect and support for branch managers. You will be the first to forefit vacation and you will work the most hours. The will gaslight you that it is a supportive family but there is no one for managers to turn to. The only branches that get any perks are those near census max. *By frequently firing branch managers with out warning they cultivate a culture of fear and anxiety
