Pros

Schedule is nice, decent benefits, rewarding work.

Cons

If you're not a BCBA or someone with a degree they will treat you like crap. They will act like they're better than you and will go into the BCBA office throughout the day and gossip about RBT and other staff and then yell at you when your job is stressful and you need help saying that isn't professional even though they do it the same thing. My manager was very rude wrote me up for things I didn't do and then had me sign a performance review paper that I didn't know was a disciplinary action until after I was told it was no big deal and just a periodical review but when I I quite about moving positions to an RBT which I'd discussed with them in the past that told me now I couldn't because i was on a performance review. They pay is decent but they expect you to do way too many things all at once and then yell at or write you up because you didn't get them done. Not to mention I had next to no training for my position. 2 day of training for which I had to drive 30 minutes away for. Management doesn't like anyone not going to become a BCBA and feel/act/talk to you like you're below them and they are God. They also go behind your back with this "peer feedback" they send a questionnaire to 2 co workers asking if they can provide feedback on you which is a great idea however this feedback is never seen by the employee being reviewed so you don't know what they're saying and you don't get to ask questions or co test anything because you don't know about it. I also did not get any recognition for all the things I did, which was a lot and great compared to when I started, in the "review" you never gwt recognized for anything and in my particular role there was absolutely no room for advancement. There adding more roles for RBTs but there was nothing added. So this role is like a dead end if your looking for career opportunities. All in all the benefits for me did not outweigh the cons and there is something very seriously shady in the management teams

Pros

Working with kids with autism, which is rewarding but sometimes challenging.

Cons

Admin is lazy, hypoctical and cliquey. Fine if they like you but if they don't like you they will make an excuse to get rid of you, regardless of how good you are and how much your peers and clients like you.
