Pros
The organization offers very few advantages. However, if you are willing to put in 30 years of your life, you will receive a pension and healthcare benefits.
Cons
I would not recommend working for this organization unless you are a political appointee or are extremely desperate. There is no opportunity for advancement and pay raises are only given out once every 6 years. They do provide a pension but as you get closer to retirement age they try to force you out so that the pension benefit will not be as great. Moreover, employees are treated like slaves on a plantation. On the other hand, political appointees, who are buddies with the governor, get paid big salaries to do nothing all day. A year ago they hired a new CFO who had no background in finance and got paid $173,000 to spend her day networking for her next job which she finally found.
