Pros

Effective COVID screening and option to take COVID test on campus if needed.

Cons

Supervisors were out most of the time “working from home” but were mostly inaccessible and did not value work/life balance. If you had a doctors appointment you had to work it around supervisors and coworkers schedules. Was told by a supervisor that I couldn’t have overtime when there was an (mandatory) event on campus on a weekend so had take hours off during the week to make up for it. Supervisors weren’t sure what went on in the day to day office operations and departments had little to no communication. Pay was nearly half of what other colleges were paying for the same position. Pay does not equal work load making employees feel burned out. Supervisors picked favorites and were very lenient with those employees but strict with others. Very heavy on appearances. Little to no diversity with staff/faculty.

Pros

Enjoy working for a place that I am a 'name and not a number'. It is a relaxed environment, offer free tuition for full time employees, and have retirement matching and a comprehensive benefit package, Staff get a shortened flex-time work week during summer. Most employees tend to stay for a long time. Administration works hard to provide affordable benefits. Free access to athletic events.

Cons

Application process is slow/intentional (but that can be a good thing). Inconsistent office hours across campus can be frustrating to peers.
