Pros

I can honestly say the company culture here is great. There are a lot of fun events throughout the year to participate in. My manager and team are very supportive. A great company to grow professionally.

Cons

Training isn’t the best when you first start. Sometimes you get roped into doing multiple jobs at once since the company waits until the absolute last minute to refill vacant positions. There isn’t a lot of support when dealing with hostile colleagues. The company also brought us back 4 days in the office (after years of only 2-3 days in office) which isn’t fun, and it’s the reason I’m trying to leave. The merit increase is not good each year, and it hardly keeps up with inflation. It’s better to leave then come back to make more money here. No bonuses either.

Pros

Great immediate supervisor and their boss. Made top-down communications tolerable. Great co-workers and great collaboration that lifted the entire team.

Cons

(1) RIF based on tenure, not performance. HR is too powerful a department, and everyone fears it. (2) Tenure made you lazy, killed creativity, initiative, and promoted a "yes" culture. (3) During COVID layoffs, CEO pay went from $3.7 million to $15.x million, while employees endured 25% furloughs for 3 months, and management 10% reduction in pay for 6 months - explain how that is reasonable. (4) CEO declared DEI as the way forward for career mobility, and a lot of young, promising talent walked out the door, including DEI-qualified minorities. (5) I was one of those minorities.
