Pros
Very secure work enviroment, Emerson is very good at what they do, and have an excellent reputation in the industry. It is a good place for engineers or sales people who like to have a 9 to 5 experience, they have a reasonable work life ballence.
Cons
There is very little chance for advancement, they don't typically perform reviews and often hire from outside rather than whithin. Emerson is always aquireing or re-structureing; this can leave the management structure in disarray. They seems to have a relatively high turnover in my division.
