Pros

Liebert used to be an excellent company to work for. The people in the trenches are all good people who truly want to see the company succeed. The benefits are ok, except for the rather archaic vacation policy.

Cons

Throughout the past 10 years Emerson has slowly implemented their style management and philosophies and the company (Liebert) has gone down hill. Upper management seems to make some pretty sketchy business decisions which in turn has destroyed morale throughout the workforce. In addition, upper management doesn't seem to care what their employees think, at least in my experience. Layoffs, turnover of long time employees and, most recently, furloughs have been common place the past few years.

Pros

Great immediate supervisor and their boss. Made top-down communications tolerable. Great co-workers and great collaboration that lifted the entire team.

Cons

(1) RIF based on tenure, not performance. HR is too powerful a department, and everyone fears it. (2) Tenure made you lazy, killed creativity, initiative, and promoted a "yes" culture. (3) During COVID layoffs, CEO pay went from $3.7 million to $15.x million, while employees endured 25% furloughs for 3 months, and management 10% reduction in pay for 6 months - explain how that is reasonable. (4) CEO declared DEI as the way forward for career mobility, and a lot of young, promising talent walked out the door, including DEI-qualified minorities. (5) I was one of those minorities.
