Pros

I’ve been at Emerald for six years, and it’s been a genuinely positive experience. The company truly cares about its people — our voices are heard, and leadership makes a real effort to stay connected. We’re not an over-layered organization, so ideas move quickly and you can actually see the impact of your work. We are processed, but in a good way — structured enough to support productivity, not slow it down. And when things do get overly processed, Emerald invests in improving them. Right now, the company is going through a major transformation to streamline centralized systems, which shows a real commitment to progress. One of the things I value most is the transparency and open communication. We have monthly town halls where leaders share updates, answer questions directly, and listen to feedback. It’s rare to see that level of consistency and openness at a company this size.

Cons

Like any organization, there are challenges. It’s a fast-paced environment that requires some grit and an entrepreneurial mindset. You have to be proactive, adaptable, and willing to put in the work. But if you do, the rewards and opportunities for growth are absolutely there.

Pros

-Depending on what team you're on, you get a lot of autonomy. (on the flip side, see con- if you're on the wrong team) -Good benefits -Fun events & Travel opportunities

Cons

-People getting laid off left and right all time. One minute you have a team mate and the next they are just gone. -Management is top heavy and operates like a fraternity -If you're on the wrong team every move is watched -Your job is NEVER safe -Imagine with the acquisition that was just announced by Apollo that the reason for layoffs was to become lean before transition. I would hedge bets that this will also continue to be a numbers game and positions are going to be uncertain -Sales plans are always ambiguous and there were even times where the plan wasn't out until several months into the year. Expected to sell over and above but didn't always have a sales plan to follow. It was always changing.
