Unless you have money to cough up to work each shift, look someplace else for BA work. - Anonymous employee Embr Employee Review

Pros

You get paid pretty quickly and get your expenses on time as long as you fill your sales info within a day. Pay is standard rate of what BA's get paid. Some places I've worked pay less, some pay more. You pretty much know your schedule for the entire contract. A few times it was switched up on me, but I was always asked first.

Cons

It's a bit ridiculous that some shifts have supplies and some don't. It's one thing to purchase ice and food prior to a sampling shift but to have to purchase all the other things that are required to have on the table is ridiculous. Shifts that do have the supplies, you only get the box once. If you've worked that brand, you don't get another one and are expected to keep all the posters and cards neat and tidy (and in a few cases print signs off at home) but have to go out and buy everything yourself. You work with so many different brands and end up with a trunk full of junk that you can't get rid of. I'm not getting paid to be a storage space. If you're working at the grocery store you have to purchase the actual product being sampled too. I get it, grocery stores are different from the beer stores and lcbo's but to ask your employee to spend over half of what they're earning on supplies upfront is ridiculous. I did this with another company and they gave me a card that was loaded to pay for these things. You're expected to put together these amazingly perfect displays for a bunch of photos you need to submit (like any other BA gig - totally acceptable), but you're only allocated 15 minutes to do so and that set up time and 15 minute clean up time is unpaid. If the store is busy, you're spending a lot longer on both.. but not paid for your time at all.

Pros

Working as a Territory Manager at Embr Events comes with many positive aspects as well as some challenges. One of the main advantages is the strong company culture that encourages collaboration, creativity, and inclusivity. The role provides hands-on experience in brand marketing, allowing me to gain valuable exposure to different campaigns and client interactions. There is also a great deal of autonomy and flexibility, which enables me to manage my territory independently and make impactful decisions. The position offers excellent networking opportunities with various brands and professionals in the industry, helping me build meaningful connections. Additionally, the job allows for ongoing skill development in communication, leadership, and problem-solving, all within a dynamic and fast-paced environment that keeps things exciting and engaging.

Cons

On the other hand, there are some challenges that come with the position. The schedule can be inconsistent, especially during peak seasons, which sometimes results in long or irregular hours.
