Pros
- Amazing colleagues that are both friendly and welcoming and also extremely talented. - Get to work with cutting edge tech and workflows - Really feels like individual contribution to that tech has an impact - My salary is quite good considering my experience level - Work/life balance and trust to get work done has been excellent on the project/teams I work with - Have felt treated extremely well by everyone as part of a minority group
Cons
- High level vision for some projects has been unclear. While this has actually improved quite a lot in both cases, the new clearer visions are somewhat less unique and exciting - One of the projects has had some poor work/life balance and mandatory overtime periods. While effort has since been put into addressing this, it's unclear exactly how much better it is to me - Very little opportunity for seniority progression in terms of title. I've learned a lot and progressed my skills greatly, but have nothing concrete to show for it - Low amount of total diversity on the staff
