Pros
• The position allows for exploration into many different technologies: 3D printing, CNC woodworking, laser engraving, etc. • The head coordinator of the space is incredibly kind and accommodating, always made sure to properly listen to feedback about what could be improved within the work space, always cared about making sure everyone was satisfied with work conditions, truly made working there as fluid and fun as possible while ensuring clients coming into the space were provided with the support and resources they needed • Encouraging of creative endeavors and allowing for additional workshops and events to be run multiple times throughout the year. Any ideas for such workshops will normally be allowed so long as a few basic criteria are met • Easy to trade shifts or reorganize schedules with other staff members • All around positive environment to work in with potential for advancement to be a tool team leader or overall team leader
Cons
• Can sometimes be a larger time commitment during busier times of year, but can be talked through if scheduling conflicts cannot be avoided • Can be intimidating/difficult to learn all of the available technologies the job requires, takes a bit of time to adapt but leaves you feeling confident in your ability to learn after getting it
