As General Manager you are given a high degree of autonomy and ownership for your site. You own the P&L and are ultimately responsible for the site's performance. The topics you lead and are involved in are diverse which can be extremely interesting. As you might expect, the role is a challenging one and requires a high degree of resilience.
Cons
The organisation has continuously improved over the years to the extent that there are no meaningful cons; just the acceptable challenges you would expect to face whilst in a leadership role.
