The people are awesome and if you love horses, this is the place for you! You get to see and experience some pretty cool things. EVH is a fast paced work environment.

On average work days are 9 hours, although some days can be very long, 10 hour work days on your feet. Being a hospital it can get stressful at times, especially when a lot of emergencies come in at one time. Pay is not that great either, but you do get a lot of overtime every week. (The people you work with make up for it though. We're like a family.)

Learn a lot about medical care of horses, fellow co-workers are easy to get along with.

Minimal pay, can't advance in the job, long hours, no training-they throw you out there and you either sink or swim, often have to stay longer than your scheduled shift, you have to work a minimum of 2 weekend shifts a month (12 hour shifts, day or night), communication between management and employees is poor.
