Pros

I have worked at Elephant in the Room for three years. The set schedule is what sucked me in! If you’ve worked in barber shops before, you know it’s few and far between on finding a place that gives you consistent days off, I couldn’t say no! Along with set days off you can also chose the length of hours you’d like to work, I personally chose to work four, ten hour shifts to get three days off, the amount of freedom I have is amazing. Elephant in the room is also the highest paid job in the men’s grooming industry. We have a call center to ensure our books are full everyday, which means there are no phones in the shop! The owner Clay Clark takes things to a new level, with continued training and weekly meetings to inform us how we are doing on a business level, not just client satisfaction. We also have opportunities for bonuses and commission on the items we sell. I have found my forever home at EITR!

Cons

I personally can’t think of any cons working for such an amazing company. I really enjoy the time I spend there, it doesn’t feel like a job.

Pros

Working here has been a rewarding experience. The culture is dynamic, and fast-paced — every day brings a new challenge and an opportunity to grow. What makes it stand out is gaining exposure to real business concepts and entrepreneurship mindset. The team works hard and stays focused. Beyond just marketing skills, I’ve learned how to think more like an entrepreneur, understand customer needs, and how business decisions drive overall growth. This environment doesn’t just prepare you for a job in marketing; it equips you with the mindset and tools to build and scale a business. If you’re looking to develop both your creative and strategic thinking skills in a growth-oriented setting, this is the good place to be.

Cons

Because the team is very driven, Performance standards are high. It can feel demanding for newcomers who are still adjusting to the pace and workload.
