Pros

If the management likes you, you win it all even if you are not capable. All you need to do is to have a mouth that can talk your way through. If you want to gain exposure to toxic company, this is the best place to go. The turnover here is high because if you don’t want to be a puppet or the boss don’t like you, they will ask you to leave.

Cons

Small company with many politics and everything you do is micromanaged. All management personnels are double faced, puppets to the boss. They will protect themselves and push you to take the blame when things go wrong.

Pros

If you enjoy unpredictability, this place will keep life very exciting for you. Every day is a new surprise because priorities, decisions, and expectations can change anytime. Very good training ground for learning how to read moods, survive last-minute changes, and redo work with a positive attitude. You will also become highly skilled at second-guessing yourself, since what was correct yesterday may suddenly become questionable today. Good environment to strengthen mental endurance and emotional damage resistance.

Cons

Leadership style is heavily dependent on mood and emotions, so consistency can sometimes feel like a luxury. Directions may change very quickly, and employees are somehow expected to magically know which version is the “final final” instruction. Micromanagement is very strong. Even after assigning responsibilities, there is still a need to monitor and question every small detail. Employees are expected to take ownership while simultaneously not being fully trusted to make decisions. Quite impressive balancing act actually. Communication can also be quite sarcastic and critical, especially when things don’t go according to plan. When problems happen, solving the issue is sometimes secondary compared to identifying who can absorb the blame first. There are moments where employees may leave discussions feeling confused and wondering if they misunderstood something, even when the original instructions were quite clear. Over time, you may become very good at doubting your own memory and judgement. Management can also be extremely fussy and petty over minor things while larger operational issues continue peacefully in the background. Feedback is technically welcome, as long as it aligns with what leadership already believes. Office politics here honestly feels like ancient China emperor concubine drama. Need to understand hierarchy, timing, mood, facial expression, and probably astrology before speaking sometimes. Some colleagues deserve acting awards also — very supportive in meetings, different story elsewhere. A lot of emphasis is placed on values, professionalism, and being a “good person”, although employees may occasionally struggle to connect the speeches with the actual workplace experience. Overall, good place if you enjoy uncertainty, emotional cardio, and learning survival skills in a politically sensitive environment.
