Pros

Egnyte has done a lot of things right. Kudos to the CEO and E-team for laying down the vision and most importantly, sticking to it even when it was not fashionable to do so. Some of the contrarian things that they did and which are now being validated are: 1) Taking a hybrid approach from the get go 2) Shunning the freemium model 3) Not getting sucked into "unicorn mania". The company has consistently refused to raise more money than needed. It's no coincidence that we are one of the most capital efficient players in this space. Egnyte has a flat hierarchy, interesting problems to solve and co-operative colleagues in all departments. You will be given the chance to take ownership of problems and solve them. There is minimal bureaucracy and just the right amount of creative chaos. The potential here is huge. The EFSS market is a hot space and Egnyte is also entering adjacent markets like Data governance that are even bigger. Our product portfolio is getting validated every day with newer customers signing on and also with industry analysts like Gartner consistently recognizing our differentiated solution. Egnyte is currently in the Leader's section of Gartner's EFSS market quadrant even though we have raised a fraction of the capital raised by the others in that quadrant. If you are driven and are willing to go the extra mile, you will shine here and will be rewarded. This is not the place to be if you are expecting a typical 9 to 5. You will be challenged and stretched.

Cons

Brand name recognition could be better. 401k is currently not matched.

Pros

Great benefits and great people to work with. The product itself is a great and superior product.

Cons

No training. No pipeline. No real support for SMB. You are basically a glorified SDR. Any real leads come from events or if you have good install base accounts. Hardly any good inbounds come and and if you do get a good and decent size inbound, they take it away from you to give to a mid-market rep. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. If you don't mind constantly grinding, go for it. Otherwise, I would recommend looking else where.
