Pros

It's a job and it's remote.

Cons

The biggest challenge in this organization is the dynamic between HR and Recruiting. HR leadership often operated with a dictatorial, control-heavy approach, with extremely poor accountability for their own decisions/actions. They will hound you when they need something but you must walk on eggshells and expect a long wait time when you need something from them. This created an environment where decisions felt one-sided and difficult to challenge. Recruiting, as a whole, tended to align way too closely with HR with no type of push back, even when it would have benefited the team and the entire business to do so. There was a noticeable lack of advocacy, which made it difficult to address process issues or improve candidate and recruiter experience. Additionally, recruiting leadership often positioned themselves as supportive of the recruiting team, but in practice, there were instances where team members were placed in difficult situations or blamed without clear cause or external pressure. This created a lack of trust and made it harder to feel secure or supported in the role. There were also instances of recruiters being thrown under the bus to HR all UNPROVOKED....when the situation could've easily been handled between the recruiting manager and the recruiting. Overall, the environment would benefit from stronger accountability, clearer ownership, and leadership that is more consistent in both messaging and action.
