Pros

Personal training, nutrition and holistic training, goal setting and continuous learning and upskilling. Train a broad spectrum of clients along with creating personalised programs for special populations. Setting attainable and exciting goals with clients through diet/training and the appropriate supplementation which can be very rewarding. Clients and staff super positive and enjoyable to work with. Management understanding and always on hand to help.

Cons

Shift times but no matter where you work as a pt it’s the same. Either split shifts or lates or early’s. I would recommend some level of experience. You need to have trained people prior to starting and have a skill set in that or you will find it out of your comfort zone. It’s fast paced, you need to be able to train off the cuff at times, to work around client injuries and be able to select exercises and personalise programs for prehab/rehab. You need to have all round knowledge in training, nutrition and supplementation. It will stand to you more. The sales is tough at first but the more rapport you build with the clients it is easier to get referrals. Definitely something you can learn but if you lack the confidence yes it can be hard to put yourself out there on calls etc
