Pros

The company offers flexible work arrangements, offers social events and provides necessary equipment and covers expenses.

Cons

EP is a very unsatisfying place to work as they do not offer any upward mobility, avoid backfilling positions and expect the existing team to pick up the slack and are very ungrateful for the extra workload being completed by team members, even when it is directly impacting their own ability to achieve their KPIs and achieve their incentives. The leadership team has seen massive turnover in the last few years and everyone expects you to learn some new system that the replacement SLT member wants to introduce. Every time the CEO speaks it's non stop 'corpo-speak' and he doesn't understand the education industry at all. One very questionable decision I can think of during my tenure is firing the international team immediately before the renewal season for international schools, then expecting others to pick up the slack. Constant UI redesigns indicate a complete lack of cohesion between the product and customer success team (who are mainly former teachers, who are ignored) and this leads to customers being annoyed and the CS team having to deal with the backlash. Despite constant feedback, these concerns are ignored. The platform is also basically 'chalk and talk, digified' and doesn't offer anything compelling. The AI tool is not very good, and is way behind what competitors offer, yet is charged at a very high premium on top of the subscription if schools want to add it. Also, due to the pricing model, which is very immoral this also leads to numerous negative interactions with customers (since teachers talk and work it out), as service levels are tiered even though schools are paying the same price per student. For example, a school paying less than 15k won't get any in-person, or any PD. Also, while there is a price rate card, schools paying above it will be kept on their current rate or higher. The product is also ridiculously overpriced. There are constant portfolio restructures which makes it difficult to build meaningful customer relationships and also you feel like your job is always under threat of redundancy. It's one of the few places I've work where I felt relieved when someone left because my job would be safe for a little longer. I hear they are shipping off jobs to the Phillipines now, so good luck to them I guess. As a former sience teacher, I'm not surprised they lost the contract to Stile. Also, not surprised that they are losing schools to competitors like Atomi.
