Pros
There are a number of gifted and dedicated employees at the College who work to improve the system for students, faculty, and staff. The goals are meaningful and the impact of your work can (generally) be seen.
Cons
With an organization this large, there is difficulty in crossing departmental units and budgets to get programs off the ground that will truly help students and the larger community. The workload is large; the pay is not (typical at state institutions). There are some difficulties with management in terms of follow-through on promises whether written or verbal which was ultimately the reason I left.
