Pros

Being a flat organization means there's direct interactions between the manager, senior and junior staffs, thus minimizing the occurrence of misunderstandings. Free lunches are sometimes provided. Questions are entertained, and the manager evidently wants to foster camaraderie between experienced and newer employees.

Cons

Compensation is low, and a downtime comes especially when waiting for new projects to start.
