Pros

My coworkers are generally the nicest people I’ve met. This club has potential if it was run by people who knew what they were actually doing.

Cons

Edison House is a train wreck. Upper management and ownership does not communicate with lower management. Management does not hire within so do not expect to move up. If you want a space to feel comfortable and welcome then this is not the space for you. Owners are bitter, petty and they treat staff like lower class, they seem to not know what they are even doing. The pay is not worth how disorganized this establishment is. There is also discrepancy in payroll, pay almost never adds up to how many hours are worked. Don’t expect HR to be there for you or to be any help.

Pros

Fun business to be a part of. Lots of great co-workers, everyone is friendly. A little chaotic at times but overall a good atmosphere with caring people.

Cons

Still a young business trying to work out early-stage kinks. It’s getting better. They had some turnover in management but it seems they’re getting the right people in place.

Pros

There are some genuinely good people at Edison House. If you are fortunate enough to work under the few strong managers who remain, they may shield you from the worst of it for a while.

Cons

Edison House is not a hospitality company, it is a vanity project run by two brothers with money but no industry experience or respect for the people who make the business run. Their behavior sets the tone for everything else. For example: - Dismissive of women, condescending to staff. - Micromanaging, frequently intoxicated, and prone to public, aggressive outbursts. - Money flows to pet projects, not to people. Do not expect a raise. - Basic tools and training necessary to do your job will be ignored, leaving staff to take the blame for inevitable failures. The concept of Edison House has so much potential, but I would recommend not wasting your time. Talented people leave for a reason.
