Pros

1) Complex & Interesting strategy projects: One day you will find yourself trying to craft strategies for a government agency, the other creating industries roadmaps, and another doing growth strategies for an MNC. Most of the problems encountered are new which means we need to build our own framework which requires a level of intellectual rigour and imagination that is amazing to experience. Most importantly you will feel the impact you are having is not just to create profits but also social impact. 2) A truly agile & entrepreneurial environment: I am not sure I know many offices that allow a new graduate to lead a very lucrative strategy engagement in the first 3 months. You will get the chance to truly maximise your potential as you will be given enormous amounts of responsibility very early on. Very early on you will be trained on how to do everything, from leading focus groups, interviews, analysis, project management, client relationship, presentations, mentoring and much more. Also, you will get the chance to truly impact the future direction of Eden, strategically and culturally. 3) Intellectually curious, friendly and diverse colleagues: The level of consultants at Eden is very high, but everyone is extremely approachable, friendly, helpful and also very different from one another. 4) Culture of openness, feedback, excellence: A very distinct culture that is demanding but very adaptable to each consultant's personality and strengths. Everyone feels comfortable to express who they truly are while being open to learn and grow from each other.

Cons

Like most strategy shops, the projects sometimes depend on the client so you may find yourself on a project that does not resonate with your interests 100%. Also, expectedly, the working hours can get brutal at times but better than other shops out there.

Pros

I’m forever thankful for the experience with Eden, for the platform to realize tremendous personal growth, and to work alongside generous and brilliant friends. There was not a day at Eden without teamwork. From Day 1, I was encouraged to have my own voice, to articulate ideas and to persuade convincingly in a team. Eden had a truly collegial team that was generous and nurturing where we provide instant and continuous feedbacks to each other regardless of seniority. I practiced critically structuring analysis almost every day, from framing a research to defending an argument. Eden examines every detail of its product with the same rigor and truly takes pride in its work. I am grateful for the trust and exposure to client work that I had at Eden. A clear growth trajectory was mapped out for me. I deeply appreciate the guidance on personal growth here. At the end of the internship, I received feedbacks not only regarding my work but also my career goals, working style, social capital, which would remain beneficial and impactful in my career. Eden’s conviction in realizing social impact through innovation also reshaped my perception of how social impact should be measured. It motivates me to continue pursing changes that would benefit the ones around us.
