Lots of changes - Executive Assistant Edelman Financial Engines Employee Review

Pros

Very relaxed dress code, (I knew the execs had an important meeting when they wore socks) frequent company lunches, random celebrations such as ice cream on the first day of summer.

Cons

Silo city. I had no idea what the other departments did. While that (apparently) wasn't necessary to do my job, it was frustrating not to have the big picture.

We’re happy to hear you enjoyed our local office offerings and took the time to step away from your desk to celebrate successes with your colleagues. Pros

- Great team from department head down - Collaboration is encouraged - Self-starter culture with good room for side projects - "See something, say something" approach allows questioning methodology without a feeling of personal attacks or "dumb questions" and enables team members to support each other in a safe environment - Work from home

Cons

- Executive leadership does not know what they want - Consistent turnover in C-Suite leads to departments acting like small internal companies rather than part of a larger system - Limited permission access for team members means that any absence or time-off can lead to a backlog of deployments
