Unfortunately, leadership is often confused, lacks clear vision and fall short of making consistent efforts towards real on-the-ground impact. The focus appears to be more on optics - marketing efforts and polished publications than meaningful results. The most troubling issue, however, is the organizational culture. Toxicity and favoritism are pervasive, and there’s little accountability. This creates an unhealthy work environment that undermines both morale and performance.
