I was given the opprotunity to give back to my community and help junior developers learn what it takes to be a developer.
Cons
After months of interviewing with different people in the organization. I was asked what my salary requirements were and when I answered I was told thats great its in our range. Then after the job was offered I was told my salary was not in their range and was off by 25k. I took less and after a year I asked if my salary could be brought up to what I had originally asked. It was approved and then a year went by with excuses and then they decided to pull back the original approval. They then told me that they would offer me a different raise structure and then never even gave that. I quit after about 5 months of those lies.
